This post is all about my grey and blue master bedroom design. When I design a bedroom, I like to make it relaxing and tranquil. This creates an environment that enables rest and good sleep.
This bedroom idea features blue and grey bedroom decor that evokes serenity. From the grey upholstered bed frame to the blue accent pillows, this mood board is full of style.
In this post, I will take you through each item in this gray and blue bedroom idea so that you can recreate the look in your home! Let’s dive in!
Grey and blue are an exceptional combination for master bedroom design, evoking a sense of tranquility and sophistication.
The cool tones of blue promote relaxation and calmness, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Meanwhile, grey adds depth and versatility, providing a neutral backdrop that allows for easy incorporation of various accent colors and textures.
Together, they create a timeless aesthetic that appeals to both modern and traditional styles, making them an ideal choice for creating a serene and inviting atmosphere in the bedroom.
Whether used as wall colors, bedding, or furniture accents, the pairing of grey and blue lends a soothing ambiance that fosters restful sleep and rejuvenation.

Grey and Blue Bedroom Design
In this master bedroom design, I included a grey upholstered bed frame with grey and blue decorative pillows.
At the foot of the bed is a comfortable grey ottoman bench, and on either side of the bed are matching grey nightstands.
I added a grey dresser, perfect for storing clothes and using as a surface for stunning table decor, including a silver art statue and a set of blue vases.
Other accessories that I included are a beautiful blue floor vase, a blue and ivory area rug, and bedside table lamps.
Blue and Ivory Geometric Rug
I was inspired to create this bedroom idea by the beautiful Moroccan rug with hints of blue throughout. The soft rug has a blue and ivory geometric pattern. It is machine washable, which is always a huge plus for me!
Gray Upholstered Bed Frame and Pillows
The focal point of any bedroom is the bed. In this design, I chose a light gray upholstered platform bed frame with a tufted headboard.
This headboard is simple yet elegant, and I love that it’s a bed frame and headboard combined. This makes for a more seamless look and feel.
On the bed, I included e a few different pillow designs. The first pillow is a square, 18″x18″ navy blue-grey ethnic boho throw pillow. These accent pillows tie beautifully with the area rug.
The second pillow is a light teal blue velvet lumbar pillow. The soft velvet adds texture and depth to the bedding.
Tufted Ottoman Bench with Storage
At the foot of the bed is a gray tufted fabric ottoman bench. This ottoman has armrests and built-in storage. It provides the perfect place to sit down, take your shoes off, and relax before bed.
Gray Nightstand and Table Lamps
On either side of the bed is a matching grey side table. These nightstands have two drawers as well as a shelf, perfect for storing your bedtime reading favorites.
Atop each nightstand is a modern gray table lamp. These lamps have USB charging ports, which make charging your phone at night so much easier!
No more searching for an outlet or using a 10-foot-long charging cable at night. These nightstand lamps have a fabric shade that creates a relaxing, soft light that sets the perfect ambiance for unwinding before bed.
Brushed Nickel Bedroom Chandelier
Above the bed sits a beautiful, contemporary 5-light chandelier in a brushed nickel finish. Adding a chandelier to the bedroom is an easy way to take your bedroom decor to the next level.
Want to take it a step further? Add dimmable lights to the chandelier for versatility and the ability to adjust the brightness however you’d like.
Gray Dresser and Table Decor
The next part of this bedroom decor is a gray 4 drawer dresser organizer. The dresser matches the gray nightstands, making for a truly cohesive feeling.
On top of the dresser are a couple of accent pieces. The first table decoration is a small silver abstract art statue. It’s a beautiful decoration that can be used on the dresser or nightstands, or even in another room of your house if you want to move things around.
The second table decor item is a set of three blue ceramic vases. These vases are versatile; add flowers or use them as is!
Beautiful Blue Vase
Last but not least is my favorite part of this master bedroom design: a beautiful blue mother-of-pearl handmade vase. This vase features varying shades of blue and white finish with a soft sheen.
I have a vase almost identical to this one in my bedroom and absolutely love it. I enjoy filling it with different plant or flower stems throughout the year.
For this bedroom design, I chose artificial jasmine flower stems to put inside the vase. These flowers go really well with the overall bedroom design and would look beautiful all year round.
