Adorable Layered Doormats for Fall
Layering doormats is one of my favorite ways to make my front porch look cozy for fall. These doormat combinations are fun and colorful and will make your front porch shine this Autumn!

In this post, I’ve included links to all these rugs so that you can recreate the look in your own home. Everything in this mood board is from Wayfair and Target.

Layered Doormat #1: “Hey There Pumpkin” + Red Check
This combo feels playful and cozy. I love how the red gingham rug adds farmhouse charm under the bold “Hey There Pumpkin” mat. It’s fun, festive, and perfect for making guests smile as soon as they walk up.
Layered Doormat #2: Pumpkin Trio “Welcome” + Rust Stripes
I’m obsessed with how this one mixes patterns without feeling too busy. The pumpkins are adorable, and the layered plaid and stripes give it a modern but still super warm look. It’s a cute way to bring in fall without using all the traditional colors.
Layered Doormat #3: Pumpkin “Welcome” + Olive Green Diamond Pattern
This one has a more classic fall feel, and that green diamond rug underneath adds a nice grounding look. The pumpkin design on top is simple but sweet, and it works so well for everyday fall decorating.
Layered Doormat #4: Braided Doormat + Orange Stripes
I love the texture in this one—the braided mat on top gives it such a cozy, layered look. Paired with those festive orange stripes, it feels a little more neutral but still fall-ready. If you like a softer seasonal style, this combo is such a good pick.
Layered Doormat #5: “Come Back With Pumpkin Spice Lattes” + Yellow Gingham
This one just makes me laugh—it’s so relatable. The yellow gingham adds a bright and happy vibe underneath the sassy doormat, and it totally works for anyone who runs on caffeine and coziness. It’s lighthearted, but still super cute for fall.
Layered Doormat #6: “HOME” Black and White Plaid + Orange-Red Base
This combo is bold and classic with that black and white check, but it still feels perfectly fall thanks to the leaf in place of the “O.” The red/orange-colored bottom rug warms everything up and ties it all together. It’s a simple design, but one of my favorites for fall decorating.

Conclusion
It’s so much fun to mix and match doormats and create some really cute layered combinations. One of my favorite things is that the base rug can usually be used for other seasons, too. You can’t go wrong with a classic plaid rug for the base, paired with any other doormat.
