This warm and simple entryway design mixes earthy tones like soft green, golden beige, and brown with modern black accents for a clean and cozy look. Natural textures, soft lighting, and classic art prints create a peaceful welcome home moment.

Earthy Green and Brown Modern Entryway Mood Board

I created this look using soft, earthy colors that feel calming and pulled together—perfect for setting the tone when you walk through the door.

As a New Mexico native, my favorite part of this entryway design is the cute yucca tree. It reminds me of home and adds a beautiful bit of green to the entryway.

In this post, I’ve included links to all the design elements so that you can recreate the look in your home. The furniture and decor in this mood board are from Pottery Barn. The paint colors are from Benjamin Moore.

Room Design

Choosing a paint color can be one of the most challenging aspects of designing a room. Here are four Benjamin Moore paint color options to give you an idea of how the room could look with different wall colors.

Decorative Bowl

This textured bowl is pretty and practical. It’s nice to have a small bowl on the entryway table to put your keys and other small items in as soon as you walk in the door.

Artificial Yucca

This tall, leafy plant brings in just the right amount of greenery without taking over the space. It adds life to the room and softens the clean lines of the furniture.

Storage Basket

This basket is perfect for tossing in throw blankets or even shoes near the entry. The woven texture adds that cozy layer I always look for.

Vase

This vase is a simple way to add height and texture without always needing fresh flowers. It pairs well with just about any faux stem or branch.

Table Lamp

This lamp has a simple, pretty shape and a warm, cozy glow. It’s great for adding light to the corner without making things feel cluttered.

Decorative Book

Stacking decorative books is one of my favorite ways to add depth to any table display. There are a few really cute options from Pottery Barn.

Area Rug

This soft, patterned rug anchors the space and nicely combines all the colors. It adds interest without being too bold or distracting.

Faux Stems

The dried stems bring in a soft, neutral look that works with everything else in the space. Dried stems are nice because you change them every few weeks to keep the room feeling new and refreshed.

Entryway Sideboard

This sleek and minimal piece has plenty of storage to hide away the random things you might not want sitting out. The light wood tone is a great baseline furniture piece to build upon.

Woven Tray

This decorative tray fits perfectly in the open shelf of the sideboard. You can use it simply as a decor piece, or pull it out to use whenever you need a tray.

Black Frames

I love the classic look of these black-and-white prints. The black frames give just the right amount of contrast against the light wood and soft tones.

Round Brass Bowls

I always like including a small catchall like this bowl—it’s functional but also looks pretty styled on its own. The soft brass tone ties in beautifully with the lamp and brings a little warmth to the top of the sideboard.

Paint Color Matches

The Benjamin Moore paint color matches for these rooms are:

  • Palace Green
  • Twilight Gold
  • Fox Hollow Brown
  • Black
