This post is all about my green and gold dining room ideas! I pulled together various shades of gold and green to create a refined dining room design, complete with shoppable links so that you can recreate the look in your own home!
If you’re dreaming of a dining room makeover and would love to incorporate gold and green, my dining room design might be the perfect fit for you.
My goal with this design was to combine modern and contemporary home decor accents that fit in the gold, green, and neutral color palette.
I mixed darker shades of olive and sage green in the velvet curtains, olive tree, and table vases with lighter shades of green in the accent cabinet and table lamp. I included pops of gold in the area rug, light fixture, and within the accent cabinet and table decor.
I will go through each piece of furniture and decor element, explain some of the reasons I chose them, and provide the links. I truly hope you love this dining room design and find inspiration from it for your home.

Sage Green Velvet Curtains
To begin, let’s talk about these stunning velvet curtains! They are sage green, thermal insulated, and light blocking window curtains.
Adding different textures to a room is a great way to add depth. The velvet material in these curtains is the perfect way to make the room feel more luxurious.
Dining Table and Chairs
Next we have the beautiful farmhouse dining table and velvet dining chairs. The color of the dining table is blonde wirebrush; it’s a solid wood table that blends so well with the gold accents in the room.
It plays into the gold color scheme without making the room feel gaudy and it looks amazing with each shade of green in the design.
I chose these neutral velvet dining chairs for a few reasons. Incorporating the velvet texture from the curtains onto the dining chairs creates a more cohesive feel in this dining room design.
I wanted dining chairs that would look great with the dining table but would not take away from some of the main features in the room such as the green accent cabinets and curtains.
Plus, the tan color of these chairs brings out some of the neutral colors in the area rug. To top it off, these chairs have gold legs which fit perfectly with the gold and green theme.
Modern Light Fixture
The design piece that always takes a dining room to the next level is a statement light fixture.
This modern globe pendant lamp is such a focal point in this design. You can hang two or three of these pendant lamps at varying heights and create a fun and unique lighting setup.
Gold Contemporary Abstract Area Rug
This gold contemporary abstract area rug was one of my favorite finds for this dining room.
I love the neutral colors in the rug; the tan goes so well with the dining chairs and the gold fits the overall theme. It feels as though the rug was made for this room!
Modern Green and Gold Accent Cabinet
When I decided to create a green and gold dining room design, this green and gold accent cabinet was actually the first furniture piece I stumbled upon.
I fell in love with it and knew I needed to find a way to fit it into the design. The shade of green was a little lighter than I had in mind, but I knew that I could incorporate various shades of green in order to add depth and intrigue.
The table decor that I chose for this cabinet will help blend the different shades of green together.
Green and Gold Table Decor
The first table decoration that I chose for the accent cabinet is this sage green table lamp. A table lamp is a great way to add soft lighting and create a romantic dining atmosphere.
The next table decoration is this statement gold bust head-shaped statue vase. This vase can be placed on the table as-is or set on top of decorative books. You could also put flowers, a plant, or decorative feathers inside.
These ceramic vases are essential to this dining room design. They incorporate all of the shades of green that I included in the design. From the light green accent cabinet, to the sage green window curtains, these vases have a bit of each color.
Decorative Olive Tree
A great way to liven up any space is with a decorative tree. This artificial olive tree is perfect in this design. Olive trees have a beautiful muted green color that softens the space.
Pair it with the woven seagrass basket planter pot and you’ll have a beautiful bit of nature in your dining room.
