Navy Blue Gamer Bedroom for Teenager
This post is all about my gamer bedroom idea.

When I started putting together this mood board, I knew I wanted something that felt genuinely cool for a teenage boy. I wanted it to feel like a space a teenager would love to hang out in.
Have you ever wondered what your home decor style is?
The color palette was the starting point. Navy blue, black, and grey is such a great combo because it’s bold without being overwhelming. It feels mature enough that a teen won’t outgrow it in six months, but it’s still got that fun, energetic edge. The gaming angle comes through in the art and the gaming desk & chair.
In this post, I’ve included links to all the elements in the designs so that you can recreate the look in your own home. The furniture and decor in this mood board are from Wayfair. The paint colors are from Benjamin Moore.

Room Design
Choosing a paint color can be one of the most challenging aspects of designing a room. Here are four Benjamin Moore paint color options to give you an idea of how the room could look with different wall colors.
Area Rug
The light, distressed-look rug is doing so much work in this room — it grounds all the dark furniture and keeps everything from feeling too heavy. I love the contrast of something this soft and warm in the middle of all that moody black.
Gaming Desk
This black gaming desk with the raised monitor shelf is so perfect for a teen who actually uses their setup.
Navy Blue Gaming Chair
This navy gaming chair is the piece that really ties the gaming theme together with the rest of the color palette. I love that it looks comfortable enough for long sessions, but doesn’t look out of place in the room as a whole.
Black Curtains
Full-length black blackout curtains are a chef’s kiss for this teenage boy’s room — they block light for late morning sleep-ins, and they look incredibly dramatic and cool.
Table Lamps
These table lamps are a great contrast against all the dark finishes. It keeps the room from feeling too cold or cave-like.
Gamer Wall Decor Set
This three-panel art set featuring gaming controllers and headphones in navy blue tones is such a cool find.
Game On Wall Art
This simple grey-and-navy “Game On” sign is a fun nod to the gaming theme. It’s understated enough to feel like real decor rather than just a novelty item.
Navy Blue Bedding
That deep navy blue comforter is one of my favorite parts of this mood board. It’s cozy, it’s cool, and it ties the whole color palette together perfectly.
Black Bed Frame
This bed has clean, straight lines and a dark finish that beautifully anchors the whole room. It’s a great foundational piece because it looks intentional and pairs well with everything else without competing for attention.
Nightstand
The grey nightstands have this subtle concrete-look finish that gives the room a slightly industrial, modern feel. I love them here because they soften the heaviness of all the black while still feeling edgy and cool.
Dresser
This wide six-drawer dresser is sleek and functional. The simple flat-front drawers give it a modern edge that complements the room’s vibe.
Paint Color Matches
The Benjamin Moore paint color matches for these rooms are:
- Smoke Embers
- Studio Clay
- Newburyport Blue
- Onyx

Conclusion
This navy blue gamer bedroom is one of my favorites I’ve put together. The gaming theme is there, but it’s pulled off in a way that feels designed rather than just thrown together, and I think that’s the sweet spot for teen rooms.
