This living room mood board blends vintage-inspired accents with cozy neutrals for a nostalgic yet fresh look.

Warm Vintage-Inspired Neutral Living Room Mood Board

When I designed this living room, I wanted it to feel cozy and vintage-inspired while still being functional for modern living.

I mixed earthy neutrals with pieces that look like they could have been collected over time—like the carved buffet, the patterned rug, and the brass accents. The result is warm, timeless, and just a little nostalgic.

In this post, I’ve included links to all the elements in the designs so that you can recreate the look in your own home. The furniture and decor in this mood board are from Lulu and Georgia. The paint colors are from Benjamin Moore.

Room Design

Choosing a paint color can be one of the most challenging aspects of designing a room. Here are four Benjamin Moore paint color options to give you an idea of how the room could look with different wall colors.

Coffee Table

The dark marble gives the room a stately, classic look. It ties in with the vintage look while keeping the room polished.

Vintage Table Lamp

This cute vintage table lamp is a collection of 3 matching light pieces I included. It keeps the room feeling cohesive.

Wall Art

The oversized artwork has an aged, weathered quality. It’s simple but feels like it could have been hanging in someone’s home for decades.

Cozy Chaise

This cozy chaise just screams relaxation to me. I picture lounging on it with a good book all afternoon.

Sculpture Bust

This bust instantly gives the room a vintage museum-like feel, making it feel more curated and classic.

Patterned Throw Pillow

I like the pattern that this pillow introduces to the room. It pairs well with any neutral pillow.

Black and White Throw Pillow

This black and white pillow ties in well with the black coffee table and cream curtains. It softens the bold patterned pillow.

Vintage Floor Lamp

With its woven shade, this lamp echoes vintage cottage lighting. It’s functional and nostalgic and ties the whole look together.

Side Table

This side table feels like something you might stumble across in an antique shop. Its darker tone brings in that vintage charm and balances the lighter furniture.

Sideboard Cabinet

With its geometric carved doors, this buffet feels like a vintage statement piece. It anchors the room with character and adds depth against the wall.

Green Table Lamp

This lamp has such an understated vintage vibe. The muted green color feels nostalgic and works beautifully with the earthy tones in the rug.

Area Rug

This rug is one of my favorite vintage-inspired pieces in the room. The geometric design feels old-world while grounding the entire space.

Round Pillow

This cute, round pillow is a sweet, retro-inspired accent and fits perfectly on the chaise.

Scalloped Bowls

These brass-like bowls give the room a little shine and nod to vintage decor. They feel collected and add that timeless layer to the space.

Sofa

The sofa’s clean lines are modern, but the mix of neutral and patterned pillows gives it a classic, collected look. It’s the perfect bridge between new and old.

Curtains

These soft, neutral curtains frame the window beautifully and bring in a vintage, lived-in feel. They keep the room light and airy while softening the edges.

Light Fixture

The woven shades on this chandelier feel nostalgic, almost like something you’d find in a cozy vintage cottage. It’s completely unique and not something you’d see in just any home.

Paint Color Matches

The Benjamin Moore paint color matches for these rooms are:

  • Calm
  • Smoke Embers
  • Runyon Canyon Tan
  • Black Forest Green
