Dark Olive Floral Cottage Bedroom Design

This post is all about my cottage bedroom design.

This bedroom design came together completely unexpectedly. I set out to create a bedroom with hues of blue & gray, but as I was scrolling, this combination of deep olives and blacks really spoke to me. Before I knew it, I had a room that couldn’t be more different from what I intended, and I absolutely LOVE it.

This mirror is such a statement piece with its chunky black frame and oversized round shape. It adds a little vintage flair while also doing the practical job of bouncing light around the room.

This little bowl is such a simple styling trick that adds visual interest. It is the kind of small detail that makes a room feel finished.

This little vase adds a bit of texture and life to the styled dresser. Easily swap out the stems or florals with the seasons to change up the look!

These dried stems go beautifully with the deep olive tones throughout the room and would look great in the vase!

The shades on this table lamp are unique and add a special charm to the room.

This chandelier is easily one of my favorite parts of the whole design because it adds so much personality. The tapered arms and warm little bulbs give it an old-world feel that plays so well against the more modern furniture below.

This chunky, textured rug grounds the whole room. Its natural tone plays off the wood furniture without adding any extra color into the mix.

The warm wood tone of this bed frame grounds the room and lets the bedding be the real star of the show.

This nightstand keeps things simple and functional with a single drawer to hide everyday clutter. I love that it matches the dresser so the whole room feels cohesive.

This dresser offers ample storage and matches the bed and nightstand. It can be styled with a mirror, artwork, and table decor.

This bedding is hands down what inspired the entire room, with its deep olive and espresso floral print. It feels romantic and moody all at once.

This moody landscape painting is the perfect anchor above the bed, tying together the greens and browns from the bedding. Sometimes it can be a challenge to find artwork that goes with the room, but I saw this one and knew it would be perfect.

These soft, floor-length curtains bring a relaxed, airy feel to the room and pair well with the floral print on the bedding.

Conclusion

I honestly cannot get over how cozy and moody this bedroom turned out, and that floral bedding is doing so much heavy lifting.
