Neutral Arched Bookshelf Home Office Design
This post is all about my home office design.

When I started planning this home office, I knew I wanted something that felt more like a cozy little nook than a stiff, sterile workspace.
Have you ever wondered what your home decor style is?
I built the whole thing around that gorgeous arched bookshelf because it’s absolutely the star of the show. From there, I paired it with a statement executive desk and soft neutral textiles.
I’ve linked everything you see in the design below so you can shop the look and bring it to life in your own home. The furniture and decor pieces are from Wayfair, and I’ve also paired four Benjamin Moore paint colors that work beautifully with this room — scroll down to the bottom to see the design with each color on the walls!

Arched Bookcase
This arched built-in is hands down my favorite piece in the whole room — the curved tops instantly make it feel custom and special. It gives me tons of storage for books and decor while still feeling light instead of bulky.
Desk Chair
This chair might be my favorite functional piece in the whole room because it’s actually comfortable to sit in all day. The rounded shape and soft texture make it feel more like furniture than “office equipment.”
Office Desk
This desk is the true workhorse of the room, and I love the warm tone it brings in. It’s simple and streamlined so it doesn’t fight with the more detailed bookshelf behind it.
Vase of Eucalyptus
This little greenery accent softens up the desk styling and adds life to the space. It’s such an easy, low-maintenance way to make a desk feel finished.
Curtains
These flowy sheer curtains soften up the whole window wall and let in the prettiest natural light.
Area Rug
This rug is doing so much of the textural work in this room with its unique pattern. It grounds the whole space and adds warmth to the room.
Table Lamp
This lamp casts such a warm, ambient glow for late-afternoon work sessions. The lamp base is textured and gives a bit of a modern organic look.
Pencil Holder
It’s crazy how useful a simple, cute pencil holder can be on the desk.
Accent Chair
I added this oversized boucle chair as a little reading nook away from the desk. It’s the coziest spot in the whole office and great if you have people (or kids) stopping by while you work.
Throw Blanket
This chunky throw is a must-have for the office. I don’t know about you, but I always get cold while I’m working.
Paint Color Matches
Choosing a paint color can be one of the most challenging aspects of designing a room. Here are four Benjamin Moore paint color options to give you an idea of how the room could look with different wall colors.
The Benjamin Moore paint color matches for these rooms are:
- Fog Mist
- Greenbrier Beige
- Spanish Brown
- Cordwainer

Conclusion
I love how this home office turned out — it’s proof that a workspace can be soft and cozy without sacrificing functionality.
If you’re planning your own office design, I hope this gives you a little inspiration to lean into warmth and texture instead of playing it too safe.
