This post is all about my boho nursery idea featuring neutral hues! When I was decorating the nursery for my daughter, there were so many fun nursery themes that I wanted to do.
Eventually, I had to narrow it down to one theme, but one of the themes that I really wanted to do was a neutral boho nursery. I love the look of macrame and natural tones. In this post, I will walk you through each nursery decor piece and talk about some of the reasons I chose them for this nursery mood board. Let’s dive in!
A boho-neutral theme is an excellent choice for a nursery design, blending the laid-back vibe of bohemian style with the calming effects of neutral colors.
Soft, earthy tones like beige, ivory, and taupe create a serene and nurturing environment perfect for your little one’s early days.
This versatile palette allows for easy integration of natural textures such as rattan, wood, and macrame, adding warmth and tactile appeal to the space.
Moreover, neutral hues provide a timeless backdrop that can grow with your child, offering a blank canvas for personalization through playful accents and artwork while maintaining a cohesive and tranquil atmosphere.

Boho Nursery Design
This boho nursery design is centered around the matching natural wood color crib and dresser changing table.
Around these nursery furniture are super cute boho decorations like the macrame rainbow wall hanging and the macrame toy hammock.
Nurse your baby on the soft upholstered rocking chair while snuggled up in the soft brown baby blanket.
In gentle, earthy tones, my Boho nursery idea is playful and calming. Picture a sanctuary for your little one where serenity meets style. I’ve curated the perfect blend of elements for your vision.
Crib
The main feature of this nursery design is a 3-in-1 convertible crib with a toddler bed conversion kit in a washed natural color.
This crib transitions from a crib to a toddler bed and then to a daybed. It includes a toddler bed conversion kit. The crib has four adjustable mattress positions that you can adjust as your baby grows.
Changing Table Dresser
This 3-drawer changer dresser with a removable changing tray matches the natural-colored crib. It is a functional piece of furniture that is great to have in a nursery.
The dresser drawers are ideal for storing extra diapers and other changing essentials. Since the changing tray is removable, this dresser can be utilized even after your little one stops using diapers.
Baby Bedding
I chose a set of muslin crib sheets and a soft baby blanket for baby bedding. These are just ideas to start with. I recommend getting multiple sheets and blankets so that you have a few options to cycle through when needed.
Muslin Crib Sheets
These retro yellow and beige muslin crib sheets are soft and breathable. They are machine washable, which is a must when it comes to anything baby related!
Cozy Baby Blanket
In my experience, having a variety of baby sheets and blankets on hand is a great idea. You never know when you might need to use a baby blanket as an impromptu burp cloth and subsequently need to grab a clean blanket.
This soft baby blanket is a high-quality, budget-friendly option. My daughter has one and loves it, it’s so soft!
Boho Neutral Nursery Wall Decor
To decorate the walls, I chose a baby hand and footprint kit, a boho rattan flower wall decor set, and a macrame rainbow wall hanging.
Baby Hand and Footprint Frame
Babies grow so fast, and it is a great idea to get a mold of their tiny little hands and feet while they’re still little. This baby hand and footprint kit is perfect for creating this keepsake and displaying it to remember every day.
It includes a natural-colored frame that matches the crib. There are three slots: one for the hand mold, one for the foot mold, and one for a picture of your little one.
Boho Rattan Flower Wall Decor
This boho rattan flower wall basket decor fits really well with the boho nursery theme, and the colors match the muslin sheets.
This decoration set can even be used elsewhere in the house when your baby outgrows their nursery. They would look great in the living room!
Macrame Rainbow Wall hanging
The last wall decoration is this macrame rainbow wall hanging. This could be hung on its own or arranged with the rattan flower wall baskets.
Upholstered Nursery Rocking Chair
I learned from my experience nursing my baby that having a comfortable, dedicated place set up for feeding is really helpful.
Especially in those early days, I spent so much time nursing or rocking my baby. The rocking chair I had was really hard and small, and I was constantly wishing I had a comfortable nursing chair like this one.
Boho Nursery Rug
As your baby begins practicing tummy time and starts crawling, having a soft surface is really helpful. This boho area rug is a great choice for this boho nursery design, and a major bonus is that it is washable!
Baby Mobile for Crib
One of my favorite finds for this nursery idea is this neutral boho rainbow baby mobile. It’s the perfect finishing touch in this room as it seamlessly ties the entire design together.
Macrame Toy Hammock
Furthering the boho decor, I included this adorable macrame toy hammock that can house all your little one’s stuffed animals.
My daughter has a ton of stuffed animals that are always scattered across the floor. Having a dedicated space to put her stuffed animals would help reduce some of the clutter in her room.
Plus, little kids love collecting their stuffed animals and putting them together.
Soft Bunny Toy
Last, we have a cute little soft bunny toy. This could be your baby’s first toy animal and the first to be put in the macrame toy hammock!
