This post is all about my home office design.

Artsy Tan Transitional Home Office Design

I centered this design around the wall art, choosing furniture and decor pieces that pull from the color palette in the picture. I love the textures and materials in this room, and I hope you enjoy it!

Have you ever wondered what your home decor style is?

I’ve linked everything you see in the design below so you can shop the look and bring it to life in your own home. The furniture and decor pieces are from Crate & Barrel, and I’ve also paired four Benjamin Moore paint colors that work beautifully with this room — scroll down to the bottom to see the design with each color on the walls!

Cabinet

This cabinet, with its geometric wooden doors, is a work of art in its own right. I love using a cabinet like this for hidden storage while still having something gorgeous to look at.

Floral Wall Art

This floral painting adds a bit of romance and color to the space near the cabinet.

Upholstered Desk Chair

This chair has such a soft, sculptural shape with its rounded seat and chrome base. It feels more like a design piece than a standard desk chair, which is exactly what I wanted for this room.

Office Desk

This desk with its fluted drawer fronts and marble-style top is such a statement piece.

Tall Vase

This tall textured white vase adds a sculptural aesthetic to the corner of the room.

Table Lamp

Such a cute table lamp for the desk and cabinet. It adds cozy lighting, which is so nice to have in an office space.

Floor Lamp

This tall cone-shaped floor lamp echoes the smaller table lamp and adds ambient light next to the leather chair. I love repeating a shape like this throughout a room, it makes everything feel intentional.

Curtains

These soft floor-length curtains frame the windows so beautifully and add a little bit of drama to the room. I always say curtains are an underrated way to make a room feel finished and expensive.

Black Accent Chair

This black leather chair is the boldest piece in the whole room, and I love it for that reason. It provides a nice contrast against all the soft neutrals and adds a bit of edge to an otherwise gentle color palette.

Picture Frames

It’s always nice to have a few framed pictures in your office to look at while you’re working.

Wall Art

This wall art is the first thing you notice when you walk into the room. It brings together all the colors throughout the room and makes the space feel unique.

Area Rug

This abstract-patterned rug in warm neutral tones grounds the entire seating area and adds so much texture. It has just enough movement in the pattern to keep the room interesting without overwhelming it.

Greenery Stems

These stems soften the corner of the room by the window. I like bringing in a little greenery like this, it keeps the space feeling fresh without any real upkeep.

Paint Color Matches

Choosing a paint color can be one of the most challenging aspects of designing a room. Here are four Benjamin Moore paint color options to give you an idea of how the room could look with different wall colors.

The Benjamin Moore paint color matches for these rooms are:

  • Silver Bells
  • Arizona Tan
  • Everard Coffee
  • Black
