Whimsical Fall Entryway Design
This post is all about my fall entryway design.

This whimsical fall entryway is giving cozy autumn welcome vibes and I am here for it — think warm woods, golden pumpkins, and tiny mushroom accents that make you want to kick your shoes off and stay awhile.
Have you ever wondered what your home decor style is?
For this design, I leaned into that fluted wood console table as the anchor. The little whimsical touches are really what make this one for me.
The tiny mushroom figurines tucked next to the pumpkins, the brass bird, the hourglass. They’re playful but still make the space feel collected rather than like it came straight off a store shelf.
I’ve linked everything you see in the design below so you can shop the look and bring it to life in your own home. The furniture and decor pieces are from Target, and I’ve also paired four Benjamin Moore paint colors that work beautifully with this room — scroll down to the bottom to see the design with each color on the walls!

Throw Blanket
This draped knit throw with the fringed edge softens up the whole space and makes it feel that much cozier. Draping it over the basket like this is such an easy styling trick.
Runner Rug
This chunky woven rug grounds the entryway and adds texture. It’s the perfect neutral base that lets all the warmer fall tones on the console really pop.
Mushroom Table Decor
These tiny mushroom decor pieces tucked in next to the pumpkins are exactly the whimsical detail I mentioned earlier. They’re such a small thing but they add so much personality.
Decorative Hourglass
This hourglass decor piece adds such a nice old-fashioned feel to the tabletop. It’s a small detail, but it really makes the whole thing feel more special.
Ceramic Pumpkins
This mix of orange and white ceramic pumpkins is the easiest way to bring in fall without going overboard. I love pairing the two colors together because it keeps the look soft instead of overly Halloween-y.
Fall Candle
A simple seasonal candle is such a simple way to make an entryway feel lived-in and inviting.
Bird Figurine
This little brass bird figurine is such a fun, unexpected detail on the tabletop. It adds a bit of old-world charm and keeps the styling feeling unique.
Entryway Table
This console table with its reeded, vertical detailing on both the legs and the front, and the warm wood coloring makes it the perfect canvas to decorate for fall.
Fall Wall Art
This oversized framed print of an autumn tree line in deep golds and greens is exactly the kind of art I gravitate toward for fall. It brings in color with just a simple swap of artwork.
Table Lamp
This lamp has a textured ceramic base topped with a simple shade. It’s the kind of piece that feels expensive without screaming for attention.
Woven Basket
These two oversized woven baskets tucked under the console are as practical as they are pretty, perfect for stashing blankets or shoes out of sight. I love using baskets like this in an entryway because they solve clutter problems while still looking intentional.
Conclusion
That’s a wrap on this cozy little fall entryway! I had so much fun layering in the whimsical touches like the mushrooms and the hourglass — sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a space feel like you instead of a showroom.
